Assistant Principal

This week we conclude Term 3 with our St Finbar’s Day celebrations. This day provides the students with an opportunity to deepen their relationship with their school, teachers and peers. I would like to thank Mrs Platt for her diligent work, in preparing this special day. I would also like to thank the P&F for their contributions and presence on the day, as well as the many parents that have offered to assist.

Sport has had a strong presence this term, with students representing the school in Touch Football, Soccer, Athletics and Netball. Again, these events can’t occur without the work and organisation of Miss Hutchins and the support of our parent community. I would like to especially thank all the parents who have coached or managed a team this term. Many of these days cannot be possible without your commitment.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge the dedication and professionalism of our staff. As learners, we too have been developing our skills and knowledge to support the achievement of our school goals this term. Teachers have deepened their understanding and application of the 3 Senses of Scripture, broadened their use of visualisation and formative practice in Mathematics, developed their practice to ensure rich and authentic writing experiences are used on a daily basis where students receive descriptive feedback on their writing.

Our learning journey, like your child’s, is always about achieving personal bests.

I would like to wish everyone a safe and restful break. We look forward to seeing you in Term 4.

Luceat Lux Vestra,

Ben Ticehurst
Assistant Principal
